Retirement MoneyAs we age, we must consider our retirement money plan, or how we will manage our finances for aging. I believe that a large part of our aging is brought on by money worries, especially over how we will manage on the money we have available. Are you on a fixed retirement income? Do you want to replace your job income? There are many options to consider, most especially if you do not have a great retirement plan in place. In my case, I have struggled with this a lot, because my retirement investments are very small. Here in the U.S., most of us are entitled to Social Security (SS), however, baby boomers and social security combine to create problems. The system is not well funded, so there is not much money available for the large numbers of us baby boomers at or near retirement age. I watch over my availability for SS, however, the annual reports always demonstrate the need for me to work until I reach at least 67 years of age if I want to actually receive enough to live on. So what happens if I don’t work until I am that old? Where will I generate income for the basic cost of living when I no longer have a regular job?
