Antiaging Exercises

Are you looking for some good suggestions for antiaging exercises? I've got some ideas that might surprise you.

Fountain of Youth

There was a time when my dad found an old book and began practicing the exercises contained in it. The book was called, “Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth.”

Dad bought copies of this book and gave them to people he knew through his local Senior Center. And he practiced his routine for a few minutes most mornings. He was probably in his late sixties at that time, still loving life in many ways, but showing his age. His hair was thin and completely gray, his face lined.

I only saw Dad a few times each year. He had told me about this book and the exercises. I was glad he had found a sort of workout that he would practice on a regular basis, but I didn’t pay too much attention.

Then came the day I visited him and noticed that his hair had turned dark again, and it was thick. Upon looking closer, I could see that his face looked younger, too, and that his energy had improved. There was a sparkle in his eyes. He was now in his seventies, and he had certainly turned back the clock with these antiaging exercises.

This book he was sharing with others then went out of print. He was so disappointed that he could no longer buy it from the publisher.

The Fountain of Youth is Back!

Recently, I found information about these same antiaging exercises. Carolinda Witt created instructional materials, including wall charts, demonstrating the exact same Tibetan exercises Dad was using.

Yes, there are really only 5 exercises you do to gain the most amazing results. Just a few minutes each morning and you've done your routine for the day. Physical fitness simply doesn't get any easier than this!

Bouncing

Dr. Benard Jensen, DC, Ph.D., in his book, “Come Alive!” recommended exercising on a mini trampoline, also known as a rebounder. His article explains that these exercises are good for an aerobic workout without jarring the joints and bones.

Dr. Morton Walker has written a book, “Jumping for Health a Guide to Rebounding Aerobics.” He is another trusted source for healthful information.

I use a mini trampoline and enjoy the workout I get from it. They can be used indoors or outside, and just a few minutes a day bouncing on one can make a big difference in the body.
