Anti Aging System
This Anti Aging system will assist you to review many of the components that make up our lives. You may wish to use it like a checklist for how you are doing to keep yourself young in body, mind and spirit.
We know that our bodies require food, water, sunshine, and exercise.
Food for Health
The foods we eat should be, for the most part, fresh and natural. We get many of our required vitamins and minerals through a variety of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Add in low-fat dairy, eggs, lean meats, poultry and fish, and we have taken in most of what the body requires.
I strongly believe that nutritional supplements are also needed because the soil our foods are grown in has been seriously depleted over the decades. Supplements should be part of any anti aging system.
Our goal should be to eat less processed and microwaved stuff, as these fill us with calories but not with cell-building nutrition.

Seasonal Foods
Think about eating heavily into the season, and enjoying every bite as you munch on ears of corn, juicy berries, and crisp apples.
Winter squash, pickled and preserved foods help us get through the time when the land is dormant and we are looking forward to spring asparagus and strawberries.
Enjoy what is available from your local farmers’ markets during the spring, summer and fall.
Water
Water is extremely important. We should drink 2-3 quarts of fresh, pure water each day. Filtered tap water is fine, or bottled spring water. Soft drinks, soda and coffee do not count as part of the water intake. Yes, they are fluids, but the body requires real water.
Sunshine
Try to get outside each day, to take in some sunshine and breathe deeply in the fresh air. This will lift your mood as well as providing some healthful nutrition from the sun.
Exercise
Exercise. For many people, that is a dreaded word. It’s hard to find time, membership to the gym is costly, and we simply don’t like to exercise.
Okay, I’m with you there, but exercise must be included in an anti aging system. So I have found ways to work around my attitude about exercise. I do my jogging on a good-quality
rebounder
, also known as a mini trampoline. It is something I don’t mind doing, I get a good workout right at home, and it is not as jarring to my joints as on hard surfaces.
Another great exercise program is the
Five Tibetan Rites
. This may sound strange to you, but it is a simple, fairly quick exercise routine that only requires enough floor space to lay flat and stretch your arms out completely. The Five Tibetan Rites give flexibility, toning, strength and energy. In my opinion, it is 10 minutes well spent, and the best anti aging workout there is. For more information, please visit

The Mind
Mental anti aging requires thought. Okay, you knew that. So, mix it up, get out of your routine and make you mind work a little harder. Take up crosswords and number puzzles such as Sudoku. Learn a new language, or teach others a language or exercise program.

The Spirit
And that leads us into spiritual anti aging. To be young in spirit is to be content with life, to have a purpose, to be around friends and family. Helping or teaching others can be very rewarding and spiritually uplifting.
The Unique You
Your personal anti aging system will be made of your own unique combination of choices for staying young in body, mind and spirit. Think about the whole picture and make changes a bit at a time for a younger you.
